Bereavement & Grief Counseling
I ‘m a trained grief specialist.
After a loss, you might find yourself asking, “How do I move forward?” or “Will life ever feel normal again?”
Whether you’re mourning the loss of a partner or dealing with the unimaginable pain of losing a child, it can feel incredibly isolating and overwhelming.
Grief doesn’t just take your loved one—it can feel like it takes a piece of you too.
Bereavement Help If You’re:
Seeking to reconnect with the world after a loss
Struggling with the loss of a romantic partner
Experiencing the profound grief of losing a child
Overwhelmed by prolonged grief
You Don’t Have to Carry Grief’s Weight Alone
Grief is something we all go through, but that doesn’t make it any easier. While society often expects us to return to normal quickly, grief doesn’t follow a set timeline.
You might feel like you should be moving on, even when you're still hurting inside. It's okay to take your time and it's more than okay to ask for support as you find your footing on this hard path.
I take an empathetic, thoughtful approach that's all about you and your unique needs.
Together, we can explore:
-
Figuring out how to move forward feels daunting.
We work together to help you reconnect with your life—whether it’s returning to work, socializing, or even starting to date again.
-
Conversations with loved ones, friends, and coworkers are particularly challenging after a loss.
I help you navigate these interactions with sensitivity and care, ensuring that you are supported as you share your experiences.
-
Grief can be complex, with many layers of emotions like guilt, anger, and profound sadness.
We unpack these feelings and find ways for you to cope and heal.
How Grief Counseling With Me Supports Your Healing
Grief, especially when it lingers, can quietly seep into many areas of your life, leading to challenges like:
Anxiety or depression
PTSD
Substance abuse
Difficulty in self-care
Career struggles
Strained relationships
In addition to my specialized grief training, I also utilize a mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and mindfulness with my bereavement clients.
Through our counseling sessions, I’ll help you navigate and manage these overwhelming emotions. Together, we’ll work on honoring your loss in a way that embraces both the beautiful and imperfect moments.
This process allows you to move forward, carrying the memory of your loved one in a way that feels right to you.
